We all know that our time with our beloved horses is all too short – in the blink of an eye they can be taken from us without warning.
My calling is to create beautiful, unique artwork for horse lovers that transcends mere photography, grows more priceless in time and keeps precious memories of beloved equine companions alive in their owners hearts and minds forever.
I truly believe that beautiful art keeps a part of them with you always.
I have been a professional artist for nearly twenty years and my photographic work is heavily influenced by my traditional Fine Art background. Over the years I have accepted private commissions from nearly every state of Australia as well as Internationally for pet portrait paintings in traditional graphite, charcoal, pastels, acrylics, oil painting as well as digital art mediums.
I’m lucky enough to live on a small farm in the beautiful south west region of Australia with my hubby, three teenage children and way too many horses, dogs, cows and sheep to list by name (yes, even the cows and sheep have names).
I’m one of those girls who never outgrew the horse ‘phase’. I understand how these magnificent animals grab hold of your heart in a way that the uninitiated view as bordering on obsession, insanity – or both. The strength and power that you entrust your life with, their unconditional love that accepts you for who you are without judgement or criticism, their smell and the soft touch of a velvety nose, that unique connection that you share – the only thing that comes close to the love you feel for your once in a life-time horse is the heartfelt connection with a special canine companion.
I am an internationally collected award winning artist and photographer who has combined lifelong passions for horses, dogs, art and photography to immortalize the beauty and essence of these amazing animals in works of art as unique as they are.
I took my first photograph in 1980, sold my first photographs in 2005 and commenced my career as a Professional horse, pet and child photographer in 2007. I have photographed a diverse range of subjects over the years including equestrian sports, canine sports, children’s sports, pet portraits, childrens and family portraits, landscapes and commercial rural photography. Due to serious family illness, I focused on Fine Art photography for several years before returning to equestrian Event Photography in Western Australia on a regular basis in 2015 and now once again cover equestrian events disciplines including Showjumping, dressage, eventing, campdrafts, rodeos, show horse, gymkhanas, agricultural shows and breed shows.
I am an independent Accredited PCAWA Photographer with current Working with Children Clearance and Public Liability Insurance available for photography at Pony Club and other equestrian events as well as private, farm, stud and commercial photography sessions.
