I’m a Fourth generation horsewoman, mum to three teen to young adult human kids (one homeschooled), five border collies and eight horses. I’ve been fortunate enough to never have had a time in my life without pets – in fact, as a baby I was bottlefed alongside an orphaned foal and a young German Shepherd puppy that grew up to be my closest childhood friend.
We live on a small farm in the beautiful south west region so we also have a few pet cows and sheep (yes they all have names). With so many pets – especially with the border collies being inside dogs- the standing joke in our house is that pet hair is both a fashion accessory and a condiment!
I have been a professional traditional artist (pencil, acrylics and oils) for nearly twenty years with paintings and photography hanging in private collections Internationally and throughout Australia and have won numerous awards for my work.
I took my first photograph in 1980, studied photography in high school, started selling my photography in 2005 and officially commenced my career as a Professional horse, pet and child photographer in 2007. Over the years I have photographed a diverse range of subjects including equestrian sports, canine sports, children’s sports, pet portraits, childrens and family portraits, landscapes and commercial rural photography.
Due to serious family illness, I focused on Fine Art photography for several years before returning to equine Event Photography in 2015 and once again cover equestrian events disciplines including Showjumping, dressage, eventing, campdrafts, rodeos, show horse, gymkhanas, agricultural shows and breed shows.
I have studied under some of the best portrait, family and wedding photographers in the world so if you wish to be in some of the photos I guarantee that they will be the best photos you have ever seen of yourself!
I am an Accredited PCAWA Photographer with current Working with Children Clearance, ABN and Public Liability Insurance.
